Why We Are Here
The Brotherhood of Santa Barbara is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization founded by
Black men in Santa Barbara, California.  Our goal is to advance civic and cultural
awareness, and promote brotherhood within the Black and greater community of Santa
Barbara county.

To this end The Brotherhood works to provide education and social engagement
across all segments of the Santa Barbara community to foster equality among all
people.
We provide a comfort zone for the development of leadership and relationships within
our community.  We will continue to provide educational opportunities through individual
contact and, we continue to provide workshops that strengthen the knowledge base of
our entire community.  Recognizing, and preserving the heritage of the African American
culture is something that we see as an important part of our mission, and we will
continue to build awareness and empowerment within the greater Santa Barbara area.
